Visited here with a party of 12. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. One of the children ordered mussels and roughly 40% were closed and the dish was omitting a very foul fish smell. The waitress apologised and took it off the bill, but...More

Great old pub however the food was not as good as we expected... We started with the pate which was a big disappointment on two counts..the small portion and the high price. The main course was ok however the price was excessive for the quality...More

I had prawn and crayfish tail on toasted sourdough . It came piled high on a 2” x 2” piece of bread. It would have been better on a 4” x 4” and not piled as high. Overall it as OK, lacked flavor, not sure...More

Perfect place for family to meet and they catered well for the children in the party. Good décor and ambience. Food pretty average, although the childrens meals looked amazing and excellent value.

The Stanny is an old favourite so it was with some anticipation that, after many years, we visited for lunch the other day. First impressions were that the place needed a lick of paint. The staff were helpful and pleasant though short of training. The food...More

We were flying out of the nearby LBA early so we were staying locally overnight. We picked this pub from previous reviews. It is a very large and very old building which is split into attractive smaller dining areas separated by comfy chairs and various...More

Met some friends for dinner tonight and had a lovely meal, we got the early bird which gives you 2 courses from a large selection for a very reasonable price (about £13/14). 2 courses can be a starter and main or a main and dessert....More

The Stansfield Arms dates back to 1543 and is a beautiful beamed historical pub. There are lots of different areas with varying ceiling heights, nook and crannies and not a straight line! It is Family run, our crown and glory. We serve good homemade food all day, every day and have real ales as well as a good wine list.Set in the idyllic Apperley Bridge area, near the River Aire and open countryside it is popular with walkers, cyclists, dog owners all year round. Perfect in the summer on our very large south facing patio area and cosy in the winter by our open fires. We have a large car park.We are famous for our award winning early bird, £12.95 For two courses off the main menu and our Sunday lunches that starts from £9.95.
