Great simple food (I had the steak my wife had the bangers & mash). Warm friendly & helpful staff. We were here to celebrate my wife's birthday & our anniversary (yes they are the same day🙂) but this won't be our last visit. All round...More

We really enjoyed our meal here, the menu is fairly basic pub grub but covers most tastes. The waiting staff were efficient, quick and very friendly, well done for what can be a difficult job. I was pleasantly suprised at the reasonable cost, even with...More

Good pub with classic selection of pub food & a good choice of local beers. We popped in for a good lunch on a rainy day. Really friendly staff - we had our baby who is just crawling & teething and they couldn't have been...More

I came here for lunch and had the 'classic' moules marinieres. They were dreadful. It was mussels with about half a pint of cream thrown in. No wine - not that I could taste, anyway. No shallots. No garlic. No herbs. Just mussels and cream....More

Busy pub and not massively pricey. A good choice of beers, cider, wines and spirits. A must for foreign visitors to see a traditional English pub and enjoy its atmosphere.

I visited this restaurant with my husband and two adult children and daughter in law. We tried to find somewhere in Arundel to have lunch at 2.30 nearly everywhere was closed. This restaurant was open.
The seating was not very comfortable and to be honest it did not smell very nice, but we had already ordered our drink so it was difficult to leave! I had asked for sausages and mash (but asked if the mash was made with butter - the bar person enquired and came back and said that it was made yesterday and the person who made it was not in! so he could not say! I had chips instead. So I had sausages and chips with runner beans which were cold. The sausage were not at all hot but we waited quite a while and so I did not complain. My son and daughter in law had steak and it was full of grissle and they brought the most horrible looking large mushrooms swimming in oil which dripped over the table. My daughter had a very indifferent hamburger, We felt the whole experience was bad and a waste of money I would never go there again!!!
