Visited this Wetherspoon on a trip to Coventry. It is a stunning building located close to the railway station. Impressive from the outside and really nice bar on the inside. I recommend this Wetherspoon if you are Coventry bound. Just around the corner from the Cathedral and Guildhall it is well worth a visit.

You always know what you're getting in a wetherspoons. Great location for this one, close to Holy Trinity church and on the edge of the shopping. Easy to find a seat. My curry was alright, hubby loved his burger. Food served quickly and order taken with a smile and friendly chat.

On a day trip to Coventry, we decided to eat here - good choice! It was curry day which we both love. All curry meals £6.15 and that included rice, poppadum and naan bread, and a drink. We also ordered a side of Bombay potatoes for £1.50, which while excellent, could have been a bigger portion. Lamb Rogan Josh for... More

During a recent stay in Coventry we visited Wetherspoon’s “The Flying Standard” Pub on Sunday morning, February 12th 2017 for breakfast. On entering the pub, we went to the restaurant area and sat at a table next to one where the couple were about to leave, we noticed that they had left an unusual amount of food on their breakfast... I do quite like this bar in the centre of Coventry. It is always pretty busy and sometimes it can be hard to find a seat. However it has a good atmosphere and the food is ok.

Typical Weatherspoon. comprehensive menu, quick service. My burger was good but my partners eggs where overcooked and like leather. Can never understand why we don't follow America in asking customers how they would like their eggs cooked. Waiter was rushing about may have needed more staff. Was ok for what it cost

Pub food, burgers etc...no complaints. Good value for money, not the most inspiring décor, but better than surrounding choices

The name of this Wetherspoon pub recalls the fondly remembered motor car, part of a range of models made in Coventry, from 1903 until the 1960s. Standard's first car, the Motor Victoria, was built by Reginald Maudslay, in Much Park Street, in 1903. The 'Standard Nine' was launched in 1927. Inexpensive, at A£198, its success saw Standard through the 'slump', and it was still going strong when, in 1936, the Flying Standard models made their debut.
