Lovely location and plenty of space, Shame about the kind of people you find in there - make it very unsociable. Visited for bonfire night event recently also - which was okay but not great.

Been regulars to this pub for many years as we like to support local businesses. We went to celebrate a birthday but unfortunately we were very disappointed. We got our table quickly but had to wait a long time to get our drinks, which was incorrect when they arrived. Our first course arrived but was cold, Box Camembert, was presented... More

The food here is really overpriced and poor, we keep popping back every other month or so as we only live down the road. It's a real shame as there are no other pubs in walking distance. The play equipment for children is in a dangerous state of disrepair. They do have a decent selection of ale, but cider choices... More

The owner of these premise is the most rudest and obnoxious man I have ever come across. After waiting for nearly 50 minutes for our good to arrive (restaurant was empty!) When it did eventually arrive both meals were stone cold. I spoke to the girl behind the bar and explained the problem, she proceeded to snap at me and... More

Went to try the carvery. Staff warm and friendly. Plenty of choice of ales. Carvery area nice and clean and well presented. Plenty of choice but it appeared to be all frozen food without much taste. The carver gives ample servings of meat, however, it was like shoe leather. All piping hot and all at a good price. Could be... More

Over to the Uk to visit, I took my mother to the Hare and Hounds for a lunchtime meal. Hardly anyone in the pub but the service was good and the beer nicely chilled. A good choice of pub food and we chose the homemade turkey pie. The pie was full of meat and the chips and peas were copious.... More

This place could be absolutely fantastic, and does well on special occasions such as St George's day or Bonfire night. However for evening meals we have been let down on too many occasions. We live locally so have visited maybe 8 times in the last year, however on every occasion we have found some fault. The restaurant often runs out... More
