Been visiting here for a couple years now. In my opinion it's the best in Birmingham. The fish amritsari is the best fish pakora I have eaten. Melt in your mouth. The salad that accompanies is so tasty. The dips also are incredible, green dip and a tamarind dip. Sensational. I have tried pretty much every curry on the menu... More

Visited on Saturday night after a long time passing and telling myself I must arrange a trip! It was worth the wait and I cant wait to go again. It was very busy so I would recommend booking and I can see why they do a great trade. Lovely food, every spoonful packs beautiful flavour and complex combinations of spice.... More

Great food and great service, menu a bit more interesting than your average Indian restaurant ! I think this must be the first Indian restaurant that I have been to, where you can actually see the chefs cooking, loved the glass front kitchen and the cool decor !

The Raja Monkey is small and unassuming from the road, but certainly packs a punch when it comes to the food. Tatsy and well presented, a meal of papads, panni puri, Nawabi kebab thali, chicken biryani, and mango kulfi with drinks and a tip came in at about £45. The staff were friendly and polite, and the seating and layout... More

Some of the best indian food ive tasted. I tried the mutton dosa, the chicken mix starter, chicken bhuna and lamb rogan josh. All were superb. You may pay a bit more, but its well worth it. staff friendly and attentive too.

Been passing this place for a while on the way to work and decided to book it for my daughter's birthday. What a fantastic place. Took me back to India with a combination of Dosa, street, starters and one Thali it was a constant stream of delicious nibbles. Staff and service were top notch and, for a Tuesday, I was... More

I'm an Indian Street food junkie!!!! The food here is nice. I'd say it's value for money. We didn't book as it was an impulse visit and we aren't from Birmingham but despite that we waited 10 mins for a seat which was all good. The kitchen is all open and visible so that kept me entertained. The staff were... More
