We went out for a special evening and wanted to try a different venue. The food was fantastic, it did not disappoint and certainly lived up to it's reputation, the service was excellent. Definitely hit the mark for a special evening.

It is a very small restaurant and there is nowhere to wait for your table. This is uncomfortable for both the incoming and outgoing customers. I think the drinks and wine were priced too high. We has an assortment of bread instead of a starter which was excellent. For main it was a choice of 5 dishes. The sea bass... More

My husband and I went to Turners on 27th Nov 2016 for Sunday lunch. We were really looking forward to having lunch here as No.1 it's my favourite restaurant and No.2 most restaurants seem to have opted out of Sunday lunch in favour of afternoon tea - why ?!!!! Anyway, we turned up for our 215 booking, which we realised... More

I would like thank on several points, firstly for visiting the restaurant and secondly for using TA as it should be used. A fair, honest and constructive review which damages neither party. As a chef I am pleased that you enjoyed the food. Unfortunately as a restaurateur I'm less than pleased! Your issues with service personally upset me and I... More

First time since new menu, very impressed, every dish well prepared and presented.Delicious onion bread,The Monkfish Caeser Salad and the Pigeon were exceptional, followed by a delicious Tart Tatin freshly baked along with caramel sauce and ice cream.Very good value for this standard of cooking along with the attractive refurbished surroundings made this a super Sunday lunch.

I went recently for a business dinner with 8 colleagues. First time but most definitely won't be the last. Loved the interior, very comfy and stylish. Service was impeccable by all the staff. The Monkfish Caesar Salad was one of the best, if not the best, dish I have ever eaten, and led to a lot of "food envy" from... More

The refurbishment looks great, bright and contemporary, loving the mirrors and the chandeliers. There are two options for lunch, a great value fixed price with two or three courses or the a la carte. We choose the a la carte, the selection available is good, something for everyone. I had the venison tartare and the sea bass, both well presented... More

No question the food is good here. But the restaurant charged us twice (once at reservation, once at exit). They promised a fast refund but despite chasing nothing happened for over two weeks. Had to get refunded through our bank eventually who then took it up with them. Last time we'll go. Chef can cook but not great on customer... More

Thank you for your recent review and I am glad that you enjoyed the food. I can only apologise that we charged you twice and that we failed to refund you as per your request. I am slightly at a miss as to how we charged you on reservation and again on exit as we only take cc details to... More

Wow.......visited Turners restaurant a few months ago....my husband and I are passionate about food and CUSTOMER SERVICE.....we were totally blown away. Each course was a delight, the wine was delicious and we were given an extra glass of wine on the house. The Maître d is an epitome of great service, he took the time to ask subtle questions that... I've eaten here several times over the years before the new menu. Tasting menus have been exchanged for a more conventional a la carte approach which makes the meal much cheaper (we ended up at £50 a head for three courses, a glass of wine and several side dishes) and could have been even cheaper if we'd had the set...
