Really enjoyed dinner here with my family midweek. The food was very good and the service was pleasant and timely. Some of the dishes were a little overpriced and small ish portions and that’s the only reason I haven’t given 5 stars.

A rather disappointing visit for a group of 8 for our sons 21st. Booked 1 month in advance and advised 1 of the party was vegan. We were assured it would be no problem. Phoned again the afternoon of the booking to double check, again...More

Excellent service, eccentric decor and a really interesting menu. Authentic and different Italian dishes very cooked and presented. Well worth a visit..

My friends raved about this place. They were right to. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a healthy buzz and friendly attentive staff. The downstairs is where the action is, but we sat upstairs and it was still nice vibe. We got a meat...More

Have come here several times over the years but latest visit not so good. Atmosphere still good, service still professional on the whole, mixed experience with the food. Staff were pushy from the start, suggesting we might like to start with a prosecco (at £7.95...More

We've been to Micatta several time and whilst everything is rarely perfect the food is usually very good. This time we were seated upstairs - I suggest you always ask for a set downstairs as it's nicer. We were next to a party of six...More

Service and surroundings as good as ever, although beginning to get bored with the huge comedy peppermill being flourished. Food however, on this visit, was poor to very poor. Calamari in batter was OK, although batter rather thick, like fish and chips. My fillet steak...More

Staying locally we asked hotel for a decent Italian eatery. What a cracker it turned out to be. On entry we realised it was very busy and as we don’t like being placed in close proximity to other tables we had decided we would look...More

You are paying for the surroundings, the ambience and better quality (personalised)table service, which simply can’t be compared to Wetherspoons. They are targeting different customers.

Description
Micatto Cusina Aperta opened in October 2012 in the heart of historic Warwick. "Cusina Aperta" means ”open kitchen”, it is a promise of quality food and the ability to see your food getting prepared by our team of chefs. Creative Director Mr Ahmadi has managed to capture an industrial feel, taking inspiration from New York's Soho area. The white shattered tiles, vintage lighting and mustard yellow leather sofas has given Micatto a contemporary and unique look as well as a comfortable feel. We are sourcing our ingredients from both local and Italian suppliers, some of which are imported specifically for our use. All of our pasta is made in house on a daily basis and we are creating amazing dishes, sometimes using the most simplest of ingredients. Executive chef Miss Elena Brannstrom used her knowledge in regional Italian cuisine, taking inspiration from both Asia, Middle East and Europe, using “The Italian Academy of Cuisine" as a guideline.
