Friendly hosts, very helpful carrying our luggage from car upstairs. Facilities very clean and comfortable. Toilet difficult to flush and shower not too easy to use but nice and clean. Dinner in brewery bar was large and very well presented and tasty food. Highly recommend...More

Working lunch, love the Canon for the past 20 years.......oh dear what has happened? Staff that are lacking in knowledge of the drinks, an empty bar, an empty restaurant and lazy pub grub. Dry ham hock with congealed cooked cheese in a semi nice bun,...More

Was looking forward to a visit to The Cannon today, but it was a little disappointing and we won't be returning soon. The courtyard which was sunny was messy from the night before and needed a good sweep up and some TLC. Staff inside were...More

We visit this gastropub as much as possible. The food is always good with different specials on the board. They brew their own beer and use it to cook with. You'll need to book at the weekends especially Sunday lunch and don't forget to ask...More

Popped in for Sunday roast and the place was absolutely buzzing with a very relaxed atmosphere, everyone seeming to be having a great time. Wait would be about 10 minutes for a table, so we sat at the bar and sampled a couple of the...More

Hi, Just seen the question and a bit late answering but they do have food for a vegetarian and best checking when going on website or ring. My partner is a vegetarian and always enjoyed the food there.

Description
The Old Cannon is a Brewery, Bar, Brasserie and Bed & Breakfast. Our brasserie menu (Cannon Fodder) changes with the seasons and has starters and main dishes for all tastes and appetites and, if you are still ready for more, our puddings and British cheeseboard are definitely worth saving space for. There are at least three daily changing specials. For those with a smaller appetite, many of the most popular main courses are offered as a light main too.
