Definitely best to book, but if you can squeeze in you won't regret it. Have been here for breakfast and lunch and found them very good. I would class the food as local and homemade, Haven't had anything bad here and the coffee is first class. recommended.

Looking for somewhere to have breakfast after a long and early trip down from Manchester on Good Friday. Nice spot. The breakfast was really good in pleasant surroundings.

Popped in for breakfast. Lovely little place and the smoked haddock and poached eggs was superb. Thoroughly recommended.

Stopped here for tea and cake and was really pleased that we did. Lovely friendly staff and I had home made lemonade and ginger drink, delicious!

Located in a corner of Wells. This small cafe had a constant flow of clients with mother and daughter in front of house providing a professional and affable service (apparently most clients are regulars). Food was flowing from the kitchen on well presented plates. We had a warm chicken salad with chorizo and a warm pork and apple sandwich, followed... More

I cannot praise the quality of ingredients in the "full breakfast " or the "salmon with poached eggs". Wonderfully prepared, great service and one of the tastiest breakfasts we have ever had. Not a drop of fat in sight as grilled. Thank you so much.

Last visit of the day before we left Wells. Small cafe but we found a table. Each had one of the cakes on offer which looked home made, tasted home made and were excellent. Nice big pot of tea and the best ever strawberry milkshake, it was beautifully strawberry none of the hint you usually get. Friendly staff who did... More

I am a cook, not a chef. My mother was a cook for 40 years: schools, Masonic lodges, holiday camps up and down the east coast, private catering, etc, and so we know food. We are also from the place where most food comes from - Lincolnshire - and know what freshness and quality means. We are really very fussy... More

Friendly and welcoming; good, well presented food (some delicious salmon, and a very tasty-looking rarebit); and a very pleasant location overlooking St Cuthbert's church. A very enjoyable meal with friends - and the Sunday lunches sound good too!

Lovely, clean and friendly little café just off the High Street. Popped in for tea and cake and not disappointed by the quality and freshness of the food. Just perfect.

Thank Kevin R
