This is the kind of place where you're made to feel welcome even if you've never stepped through the door before. And they have nice teas, coffees and cakes.

Wonderful position in market square outside entrance to cathedral. Great for people watching. Coffee, tea and plum cake good. Sadly flapjack undercooked - crunchy crystallised sugar. Friendly and helpful staff.

Poor service, terrible coffee, still trading (just) on its great location. Why can't a place like this use more imagination with menus and train staff to offer exceptional service? In short, don't bother!

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon, very busy, but staff's politeness and attention to detail was not affected. Had a lovely cake and cup of tea, really nice atmosphere. Will be sure to come again
