We are locally family run restaurant with local frendly staff. We have been hear for 9 years, 8 years as café piano, but we have no longer have a piano so we just changed the name to The courtyard restaurant. We just want you to have a great time with afordable food

Very well presented
Ample portions, had hard job to finish our plates

What a wonderful restaurant, tucked into a courtyard, delicious food, with outstanding presentation. Excellent service, with a very personable atmosphere. Excellent value too, what an amazing lunch menu at £10 per head! Only downer was it was a tiny bit cold inside. Recommend highly!

Steve, the head chef has been a chef for 33 years and up until 2 years ago served duck pink. 2 years ago a routine Health and Safety/Environmental Health inspection from the Food Standards Agency, they wrote the following recommendation: "Please be aware that duck, because it is poultry and therefore the same risks exist as with chicken, if served pink could pose a risk of food poisoning, eg campylobacter. Please consider this should any vulnerable customers order this menu item". Due to the risk involved, it was their advice to never serve duck pink.

As mentioned above by John Howard, there would be no problem eating in the traffic free courtyard, but I would suggest a call to the restaurant on 01749 677772 to enquire whether your dog would be welcomed inside.
