We had the 3 courses for £35 menu for Sunday lunch to end our weekend in Bath. We were welcomed in from the cold to sit by the fire for some canapés and drinks. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We didn't experience the service issues that I saw in other reviews so maybe they have retrained the staff.... More

The service was amateurish at best. First we were given three different menus, then a second drink order (needed as the menus had to be sorted) took twenty minutes to arrive. Then the wrong wine was brought. I didn't need to know that the staff were new, that's the managements job to train not mine. I would expect silver service,... More

Loved our Tasting menu dinner here. The only thing that wasn't up to expectations was the service. Despite a very high staff to diner ratio, and a restaurant barely half full the weeknight we dined, we had to ask multiple times for basic things. Also, inexplicably despite a beautiful table setting that included candles, the dining room was lit a... More

A firm favourite of 25 years that NEVER disappoints. Always a friendly welcome in the car park , the aroma of log fires burning greets you on arrival as you walk through the door and smiling staff mak you feel like a VIP. Calm sophistication by whom ever looks after you. Where else in Bath can the food meet the... More

Well what a woeful experience staff more interested in each other some sort of team meeting on the next table . When our array of sandwiches and cakes arrived no explanation of variety of fillings . Had to chase staff for tea , champagne and a knife needless to say won't bother again !!

The dining room is a little bland at dinner. I didn't expect the low ceiling and sparse decor so hoped the food would make up for that. Service was impeccable, and I enjoyed the canapes the chef provided for pre dinner drinks. I was disappointed by the A La Carte menu on the evening we visited. To have two tartar... More

We had a great Michelin star experience for lunch on a Thursday. Each course had three choices and at £30 was mega value. The food was faultless and the service was excellent from enthusiastic young staff. The lovely young lady sommelier from Italy was entertaing and informative. The cost of the bill raises rapidly when drinks are added but quality... More

Exorbitant and highly overrated. Patchy service, extremely disappointing food, the entire dinner experience was marked by arrogance and indolence on the part of the restaurant. Surely it cannot be long before this is stripped of its Michelin star?

I booked The Priory for my boyfriend's birthday - we have a (lucky) tradition of Michelin birthdays. Sadly, this booking didn't quite live up to our expectations. The certain positive of The Priory is it's location and surroundings. We were shown into a lovely lounge on arrival for drinks (I think this was so the restaurant could stagger its bookings,... Description
The Bath Priory restaurant in Bath has held a Michelin star since October 2012. Found within the Bath Priory Hotel, a Georgian mansion of honey-coloured stone, it’s a great place when you want sophisticated food in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Sam Moody, creates stellar dishes with a strong emphasis on kitchen garden ingredients with an inventive use of traditional herbs and flowers. Where possible, all meat is locally sourced and the menu sticks closely to what’s in season. "
