I had fish and chips here today. The fish was a large piece and well cooked. The chips were large wedges that tasted good. We sampled some ales and made our selections. The staff were friendly. Overall a good place for a pub meal.

My friend and I were in Bath on a tour, so we had about 1.5hrs to find and eat lunch. Came across this place. Pretty similar prices to what you would find normally. Nice elegant pub atmosphere. I had a beef sandwich which was fantastic.

We stopped for a much needed drink while exploring Bath. The staff were all so friendly and very helpful to all their customers. Try the different ciders if you are not driving, they pack a punch! Although we did not eat, the food that was...More

I ate the fish and chips and it was very bland. Chewy fries. Would not recommend for food, maybe for a beer.

What a gem of a pub - only criticism was service a bit slow at the bar. Food was brilliant, drinks lovely, highly recommend the Pimms and serving boards. Visited 3 times over one weekend as staff and food so good!

Visited for a Sunday lunch, very nice pub with outside seating, which we used as it was a nice sunny day. The food was nice enough but for what you got I would say was a little bit overpriced, even for Bath. The staff were...More

Our last night in Bath- we had heard some rave reviews about Garricks Head Pub, oldest restaurant in Bath. Not sure if that's true but oh well, we wanted someplace with a relaxed atmosphere and good food. Made a reservation- as we found most restaurants...More

Starters a bit 'nouvelle cuisine' - overpriced for the portiion size, main courses good, service good and the desserts were lovely

Drawn in by the 'best fish and chips in Bath' sign (one of several establishments boasting this I believe). I can't comment on this because this was the only fish and chips I've had in Bath...but it was the best fish and chips I've ever...More

We booked a table and asked about are dachshund being welcome, when we arrived there was a bowl of water waiting for him under the table. One small point we had asked for a corner table tucked away as our dog can be nervous... More

Description
Situated next to the Theatre Royal in the centre of Bath, the Garrick's Head Pub and and Dining Room offers a delicious selection of locally inspired dishes. Using seasonal ingredients and making everything fresh on site the kitchen serves traditional pub dishes such as fresh cod in beer batter with triple cooked chips and "the best burger in Bath" to more complex creations, Venison steak with a mini cottage pie of venison or poached Guinea fowl with wild garlic both popular at the moment. The Garrick's Head is ideally situated for pre Theatre dining as it is directly next door to the theatre so you are only minutes from your seat. Often described as a country pub in the city centre the Garrick's Head has roaring fires, four real ales and over 50 whiskeys, very much a pub with a dining room there are also over 50 seats outside on the terrace, perfect for watching Baths beautiful people come and go.
