One MICHELIN Star: High quality cooking, worth a stop!
Comfortable restaurant
Proud to be one of Bath’s longest established independent restaurants, the one Michelin Star and 3 AA Rosette Olive Tree provides one of the best experiences of fine dining Bath has to offer. The hotel is a stylish contemporary boutique hotel, but the restaurant is an oasis of calm modernity, with excellent British food served with a great attention to detail in relaxed, informal surroundings.

A brilliant culinary experience that we'll remember for a long time. The scallop for us, comfortably, stole the show. The staff were warm, funny and engaging. Good stuff all around :)

Great service, great location, nice atmosphere, food started well and get better by the course. The deserts were (for me) the highlight. Standards were very high in everything - good attention to detail. Highly recommended!

Outstanding service, food really was delicious and the wine pairings really worth doing. A nice relaxing environment which isn't too stuffy. Loved every second of the experience!

Olive tree selling point is the star, but I am not sure if it’s up to the standard. Most of the food was good but not amazing, many were either too salty or too sweet, might be down to personal taste? However, there was one...salmon dish that was pretty well designed, tasted unique with a good plate layout and overall a very good dish. The biggest let down was the environment and service, no tablecloth and slightly sticky table with cutlery laying just on top of that, not very posh at all. The Resturant was small and underground with no view. Servicing was ok by most staff, but one or two of them were quite poor. With the price that they are charging, I would be able to find somewhere better (without the star) in bath.More

From start to finish the service and food was impeccable. I would have put photos up, but we were to busy eating the delicious “Nine” tasting menu with wine flight. My personal favourite was the scallop, what a way to start a meal, my husbands...was the lamb rump. The anniversary card at the beginning and the delicious hand made chocolates at the end quite simply made our night. Thanks to the whole team.More

Amazing food and ambience. We had the 6 course taster menu as it was lunchtime and I couldn’t fault it. Would highly recommend and would 100% return.

The food was first rate and the atmosphere calm and relaxed. Nicely air conditioned on a hot day. The service was not as good as expected. The wine ordered at the beginning of the meal was not served with the starter and we had to...ask for empty glasses to be re-filled. Had the bottle been left at the table we would have served ourselves. No coffee was offered at the end of the meal.More

I really loved the food and thought it was a very good quality. The service was all very friendly, and the bin end wine is phenomenal value. We went for lunch which is 3 courses for £40 excl 12.5% service - not bad at all...for michelin star. This is the 20th Michelin star restaurant I've eaten at, and the 12th I've had lunch at. Sadly, the reason I can only give it 4/5 is that the portions were tiny. I understand it's only the lunch menu, but the tortellini title implies multiple, when you are in fact served a single torellino. Absolute delicious, beautiful presentation, but tiny and more like an amuse bouche (in fact, at Le Gavroche this was an amuse bouche) The main was short rib with mushroom ketchup. Again, mouthwateringly tender, a flavourful jus and beautiful presentation. But just too small. Dessert was stunning, the chocolate bahibe fantastic. Bread was also very good quality, served hot with a great texture and crust, with very rich creamy butter (always a sign of a good restaurant) All food is bought out by the chefs which is a nice touch, and service from everyone was fantastic. It really is a brilliant meal, but our issue is we just weren't full by the end of it. Still, for £60 each for 3 courses and a glass of wine, it is worth the experience.More

Let's start with the positives. The food is of an incredibly high standard, as you would expect. The standout dishes were the lamb and the chocolate dessert. Phenomenal. As good as any dishes we have ate at any * restaurant. The service on the other...hand was poor. We ordered two glasses of champagne upon arrival, but after that there was no offer of a wine pairing or glasses of wine with the meal. We often find Michelin meals a little over attentive, but on this occasion we were left asking for wine, which made us feel like there was little care for our experience. Whilst I don't think you'll find better food anywhere in Bath, we had a much better experience at Claytons Kitchen, where Imogen (our waitress) was an absolute star.More
