Poped in here this morning with the Mrs during the slog that is Christmas shopping !! Staff where quick to get us seated and very attentive, I ordered the full English Breakfast and the Mrs the Veggie option, both dishes where great, well cooked and a decent portion size. We skipped breakfast at the hotel (The Gainsborough) as preferred an extra snooze, with 3 children and busy lives we wanted to make the most of being away! Found this place, liked the look of it from outside, lots of Windows to watch the world go by. So, so pleased we stopped. Every item on my plate ( had the... More

Visited Bath for the Christmas Market on a Saturday so it was very busy and also cold. Had to wait five minutes for an inside table as there was four of us but it was worthwhile. Staff very helpful re the table. We had the Chilli, Sirloin steak sandwich and Pulled Pork in a brioche bun from the specials board... More

First class breakfasts and brunches here, very convenient if staying in the nearby Premier Inn and 100 times better food! Good service, keen prices (for Bath), what more do you want?!

Horrible cold rainy day in Bath and hungry after an early appointment at RUH. Never been here before (usually go to M & S) but decided this would be a great place for brunch. Not disappointed - friendly, welcoming staff, lovely decor and spoiled for choice with menu. Drinks and food arrived promptly and hot, perfectly cooked scrambled egg on... More

This is a great bistro which also does a fantastic breakfast. I had "The Classic" traditional English - all freshly cooked and served with thick slices of excellent toast. The omelettes and scrambled eggs looked good too. The coffee was strong, the service friendly, the atmosphere buzzing. It's also a nice location. Love it!

Great little cafe nice staff , good coffee food was ok . Tables outside over looking the square . They even have a pudding with CUSTARD ! Bigger slices of cake and proper sized coffee cups would help ... my large was really standard size especially if you are up against the other cafes in the square . But for... More

Went here for brunch and had a traditional but massive Kingsmead breakfast for one of us and another called something like shakaluka. The traditional was very very good but the other one, spicy boiled egg with feta chees and a tomatoe and cumin (+ other stuff?) sauce was absolutely wonderful. So glad we took a chance. Great service too. Just... More

Description
The Kingsmead Kitchen is a vibrant and friendly family run restaurant in the beautiful city of Bath. Positioned on the West side of Kingsmead Square, a stones throw from the fantastic shopping and theatre districts of Bath, the cafe has a sunny outlook over the square and customers can enjoy the bright interior or sit outside to soak up the hustle and bustle. We are well known for our generous helpings and freshly cooked food. Our menus change regularly and always include seasonal produce, some of which comes directly from Elcombe Farm, our family farm in Wiltshire. Recently, the cafe has undergone some exciting changes and there is much more planned for the future. Co-owners and managers extraordinaire Edi and Geraldine bring a spark and energy to the front of house, head chef Dan oversees the kitchen with gusto, whilst Piers and Sophia are the driving force behind the Field, Fire & Feast brand. All of us welcome you to the cafe and hope you enjoy it.
