Friendly waitresses in period costume and lovely sandwiches. The crockery was pretty, nice view from the window. Delicious scones - melt in the mouth. And all overlooked by a stunning painting of Colin Firth himself! Only reason this is 4 stars rather than 5 is that the toilet was on the lower ground floor and the tea room on the... More

I was given a Tea for 2 experience as a birthday present and the only place we could find anywhere near we visit was in Bath at the Regency Tea Room at the Jane Austen Centre. My grand-daughter who is cœl and who must stick to a very strict Gluten Free diet enjoyed a selection of sandwiches & cakes specially... More

Wanted to try this tea room as part of the Jane Austen experience, I went with my daughter and we were both very pleased with the atmosphere and the food. It is a short menu but everything is fresh and we were very pleased to see the addition of a savoury tea, especially as there are so many cream teas... More

We turned up as a party of ten at quite a busy time of the day and were made very welcome as the staff re-arranged the tables to accommodate all of us. One of our group was elderly and was invited to use one of the staff toilets upstairs rather than making the journey back down the 2 flights of... More

The obvious place to stop for afternoon tea after a very enjoyable visit to the Jane Austen Centre downstairs. Very good range of teas available (the Earl Grey was lovely and could be ordered with a slice of lemon, just how I like it). The food menu is quite limited and by the time I got there, they had only... More

I stopped after visiting Jane Austen center for a cup of tea and enjoyed the atmosphere very much. There is a selection of black and white teas and sandwiches and sweetnesses. The visit of the museum should finish with a stop at the tea room sitting in front of Mr Darcy's portrait.

My daughter and I shared Lady Catherine's Cream Tea in the Regency Tea Rooms, and it was such a lovely experience. The rooms were sunny and bright, the Jane Austen blend tea was perfect, the scones, cream, and jam were just right. Overall, such a nice afternoon. But what really stood out to me was how sweet the young ladies... More

This was a great place for 20 of us to enjoy afternoon tea! We had a mixture of the Tea with Mr Darcy and "Ladies Afternoon Tea". The service and friendliness of the staff really makes this place stand out! Not pretentious nor overly fussy - but willing to go the extra mile when asked. The cakes and scones were... More

I couldn't give this review 5 stars due to the troublesome start. It was my husbands and mine 10th anniversary. We had received a voucher for Christmas for an afternoon tea so decided to use this for our anniversary. Of the places that accepted the voucher The Regency tea rooms was one of them. A day trip to Bath was... More

Make a booking here if you are celebrating something special. We upgraded to the Darcy Tea plus bottle of Prosecco and were mightily surprised when we were presented with so much food we could not finish it, even failing to manage an evening meal (our Tea was booked for 3.00pm). The staff were attentive, the food fresh and tasty, and... More
