Superb selection of beer and clearly well kept. Cosy atmosphere and polite and helpful staff. We located this after Googling for a good pub. We're so delighted we were posted to the direction of this place.

Overall it was a great experience. Waiter was exceptional however as we were the only table to dine upstairs it lacked atmosphere - no music or people. The family raved about the fish and chips and the pie - however the vegetarian crumble was so...More

Hi Rankinfoodie here. Revisited the Salamander - and as good as before. In a nice street - opposite Bath's best bookshop. Good selection of Bath Ales. Nice for a pint before eating next door at the Firehouse - indeed nice for a pint any time!

There are two things that you must do when you are in Bath, visit the cheese shop, Paxton and Whitfield, and just around the corner, The Salamander. If I owned a pub, this would be it. The staff a great, the beers are great and...More

Having popped in for a Bath Ale , we ended up eating in the bar area. A proper english meal with generous portions and lovely flavours. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and is in the heart of Bath with excellent beer!

Hi the table we had was upstairs. I'm unsure if there was a lift. It is spread across a few levels. I hope you enjoy your visit.

The Salamander is great city-centre pub.
'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath.
Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a well-stocked bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs. Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
