Had a couple of lovely pints in the downstairs bar. Cant remember the name of the ale but it was a chocolatey dark one and absolutely delicious. The barmaid was rather unsmiling though and service was slow. We were going to eat but when we...More

This was a fun find on a side street, we stopped in and just got a few beers and appetizers. The bartender was great, and told us about their ales and helped us order the ones we'd like the most. We only stayed for about...More

Had drinks downstairs in this old, atmospheric pub. Good choice of real ales and friendly staff. Ate upstairs. Food we had was good but limited choice as some very unusual dishes which we didn’t fancy so ended up with fish and chips and burger and...More

We had a couple of days in Bath and I just had to pop in here. We had a really friendly greeting; being from near Leicester naturally we discussed rugby. I tried 3 of the excellent Bath Ales on offer-all quite different but all very...More

Had a great lunchtime drink here. Barman so helpful with info about eating and drinking in Bath. We had our little dog with us but not a problem. Very happy and helpful staff. A very nice time.

I have walked past here many times, primarily on a weekend when it’s pretty full, today, an exception. Dropped in for just drinks, stayed for food as the menu was impressive. Brilliant reception and service from the manager, really friendly and happy to help, always...More

Hi the table we had was upstairs. I'm unsure if there was a lift. It is spread across a few levels. I hope you enjoy your visit.

The Salamander is great city-centre pub. 'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath. Historically a 'steak and chop house', it now consists of a well-stocked bar on the ground floor and an impressive dining room complete with galley kitchen upstairs. Using the finest produce from local suppliers, 'The Sally' is renowned for its imaginative and varied menu, available both downstairs in the bar and upstairs.
