Four of us went to the Wheatsheaf to celebrate a family birthday. It was a difficult place to find, but well worth it. The atmosphere is fairly casual and very relaxed, but the service is brisk, efficient and friendly. The food was really good, especially...More

It was great to be able to sit on the terrace and look out over some glorious countryside. The service was good and friendly. The food, I feel, is not as good as it used to be - less imaginative, portions are fairly small and...More

Dined here Saturday night with my daughter, we were really impressed with this classic old country pub. Friendly bar staff although waiter was a bit shy and I think inexperienced. The food was excellent. We both had hake with salsa verde, spinach and mash; fish...More

Ridiculous out door table policy. Although there are lots of tantalising tables outside don't expect to eat unless you have booked one of the few set ones.

Loved this place. It's not cheap but accommodation and meals were very high quality. There were some excellent wines to choose from too. It's not a place to go if you don't like dogs though.
