A great evening on Easter weekend. We booked following a recommendation and were not disappointed. The Chequers is tucked away and I doubt we would have found it if not for the reviews. For the standard of food we would of paid double in London....More

We had a wonderful evening. The service was brilliant, attentive and friendly. The food was amazing, lovely wine with a comprehensive wine list. We will come back and might just eat the bread platter! I can't recommend this enough.

Walking in, we instantly noticed the buzzing atmosphere. The Chequers felty lively, happy and welcoming. All three courses for all three guests were delicious. Each had nods to classic combinations, but also surprised with small twists giving one a whole new experience. Would definitely come...More

The pared back bar is the perfect foil for the innovative food. We visited on a Monday night & it was bustling with locals & visitors alike, a testament to the menu which combined flavours with flair & taste.
