We arrived unannounced today with our son who has a very tricky diet. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and checked ingredients for us. The chef made personalised pies for the grown ups which was a nice touch. Our son had a child’s size veggie...More

I've been here several times, usually in large groups. We've always had a good meal with friendly service. This was no exception: the Christmas menu had some nice dishes, and we like the idea of serving big bowls of vegetables and chips with the food....More

3 ladies enjoyed another delightful meal at this lovely inn restaurant. The food was excellent, service attentive but not intrusive and there was as usual a good choice. How unfortunate then that we were repeatedly addressed as ‘guys’.

Went for lunch with a friend on a very cold wet November day. Menu adequate if rather unimaginative, ate from the specials board. Not a great choice for vegetarians. Lentil pate was ok if bland. Mushroom quiche ok but very rich and again without a...More

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and certainly was not disappointed. We all had a different meal which was served piping hot with selection of vegetables and potatoes especially enjoyed dauphinois potatoes. Recommend booking to avoid disappointment .

Never stayed here but facilities in restaurant etc look very tired so would be surprised if rooms were anything special.
