Out of town, but worth a visit! Annoyingly didn't serve us food at 8:02 when they stopped at 8pm! Was a bit frustrating and unusual customer service. But I'd definitely drink there again.

First class beer at a fair price. The bar very clean, even though it is well used. It looked the part. Not tried the food yet but many reccomend it.

I was very sad to learn of the early death of the Fat Cat's old landlord, and having been served so many pints by him over the past 30-odd years, missed seeing him behind the bar. Apart from Stephen's loss, the Fat Cat remains the same as ever, and with the gentrification of the area, it can only be hoped... More

Typifies the term "real ale pub" Cosy, small place which only sells quality beers and quality foods. Get in early if you want to sit though as space is limited.

Great real ale pub. Had a lovely steak pie meal for £5! Excellent ale, cheap too. Friendly staff and a warm coal fire, what more could you want?!

Lovely real ale pub at the heart of the Kelham Island district. Good range of beers, both Kelham Island brewery and other local beers. Also do food but we didnt eat. Good friendly atmosphere, and a proper pub

Huge range of ales from all over britain and abroad incl the Kelham Island beers from next door.Good value prices as well compared to usual chain pubs. Good selection of home cooked food, they seem to cater well for vegetarian and vegans as well. Smells coming from the kitchen are very inviting when you are sat outside!! Does get very... More

After visiting this pub on our very first night in Sheffield upon moving there in September I have not been back once, which is certainly something I greatly regret! It is quite a way out of the city centre, especially when walking from the other end, and whilst I do not think it is quite as good as its neighbour,... More

I would have given this place four stars but my wife insisted three and I suppose that this kind of place has a fairly niche appeal. It reminded me of the pubs I saw in my youth with frosted windows preventing you from seeing in and a bar that was very much a male domain. Not much has changed in... More

Small, busy, noisy, fabulous. The beer here is always fantastic, the only problem is it is a little to easy to drink! My favourite is the Pale Rider, but the Tim Taylor Landlord is also very good.
