Brilliant place to just sit around and while away your Saturday afternoon with a book and a cider. Well worth a visit and the comedy and jazz nights are stuff of legends!!! Come in and you won't leave disappointed

Very good range of beers, nice beer garden at the back and a large room for functions that can be booked. Friendly place and welcomes dogs. Food is good but a little more expense than some. Worth a visit.

Visited for a Friday early evening tea, early April , we tried to get a seat outside in the sunshine but it was already busy with office workers finishing early for the weekend or shoppers having just finished for a bite or drink before heading...More

The food was nice and the waitress was really good but we were really disappointed by the lack of appropriate baby changing facilities, which consist of a changing mat on the floor of the disabled toilet. It was clear the floor hadn't been properly cleaned...More

We visited the comedy club a couple of times, and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The acts are hilarious, as are the comperes! The atmosphere was great, and it was a really enjoyable evening both times that we went. The Lescar is a nice pub...More

Visited for the first time for a family birthday. A charming cuty pub with a great range of beers and friendly helpful staff. Didn't get to try any food, but will definitely revisit when we are next in Sheffield.More

Cosy and relaxing pub. A good place to socialise with family and friends. No nonsense Sunday lunch, the turkey was tender and a good sized portion. Not the best Sunday lunch ever but great for a chilled Sunday afternoon with a glass of wine. Nice...More

Went for a Sunday roast, opted for the mix of pork and beef. One thin slice of pork and one badly cut slice of dry beef. Very disappointing for £11.50, fair to say I won't be rushing back. If anyone had bothered to come and...More

Hi, Elliott. What would you like to know about this restaurant? A group of about 15-20 of us are coming to a comedy night on a Thursday. Was wondering if people generally turn up and pay on the door or prebook tickets. ideally I'd like to just turn up to save the hassle etc.

Description
A charmingly vintage Sheffield pub. A short stroll from the boisterous bustle of Sheffield's Ecclesall Road, you'll find The Lescar: a pub with retro style and a reassuringly old-fashioned appreciation for what makes a great local. Think lovingly poured cask ales (from our local Abbeydale Brewery), fresh, honest food and regular live entertainment. Sit back, soak up the laid back banter from a stand-up act or enjoy some live music. It'll be closing time before you know it.
