Super friendly country pub, roaring fire in winter, beer garden in summer. Dogs very welcome. 6 real ales to choose from, wines and selection of gin. Rhubarb and ginger is top. Sunday roast is fantastic and pie night is Tuesday.

The 4 of us met for Sunday lunch. Everything about the lunch was excellent - fresh, with nice traditional puddings. Staff really friendly too, as were the other customers.
Excellent Roast Beef Sunday Lunch. Very popular traditional pub, with locals and visitors. An excellent choice of real ales are on offer along with lager, cider and John Smiths. Nice atmosphere and also Dog Friendly.
Always serves fabulous ales (6 on hand pull) - a real local pub with a warm welcome. Staff brill, pie is to die for and dogs are welcome - so are kids too.
Very good Sunday lunch though limited choice. Weekday meals also very good and good choice. Excellent beers - Timothy Taylor, Black Sheep and local ones too. Welcoming friendly with good atmosphere.
