I have now been twice for the cosy lunch menu and it's amazing not just in value for money but quality of food and portion size. It's £12.99 for 3 courses and believe me they are more than enough. Definitely recommend a lovely lunchtime spent here with the best staff and welcoming place. Just watch out for the wind when... More

Roaring fire, music good, brilliant beer selection. If it's a pint and a relax you want, no where better. The dogs that are all around aren't for me, but the beer is the best for miles ...

I almost don't want to tell anyone about this place for selfish reasons. It's just an old traditional pub that serves the best real ale around from all local breweries and food served on Tuesdays and Sundays the like of which you will not find better in the area. No loud music, no fruit machines, a place to meet friends... More

Excellent service. Friendly little pub concentrates mainly on cask ales and lagers. More a traditional drink pub than a restaurant but Does do excellent food on certain nights

Great value home cooked Sunday lunch, other options (like a very nice pie) also available. We have also been on a Tuesday night and had the curry, also excellent. Good beers for the beer drinkers!

I'm glad we booked a table and got here early as it's clear this pub is very popular on a Sunday. As there was a large group we had our own area. The menu was kept simple (I hate big pointless menus) with a choice of starter, main and dessert or pie and peas. I felt that £6.95 was cery... More

Food is served here on Tuesday evenings and Sundays. This means that it is mainly a place to meet friends, and chat over a drink. The food is tasty and really great value. On Sundays, you can have a three course lunch for £11.95. Highly recommended!
