We ate there impromtu last week and it was really really good. Could not fault any of the dishes chosen. Wine (house rioja) was great and the beer icy cold. So whats not to like? Not the poshest of surroundings/decor but perfect for casual eat out.

Went for lunch and good deal with 3 tapas and drink for 12.50 from a small menu. We supplemented with Prawns in Chilli and Garlic sauce, cheese platter. Food was very tasty especially prawns and good value.

As Spaniard my standards regarding Spanish food are high and I must say that food tastes good and specially the paella is worth a try. Also enjoyed the shrimps, calamari, albóndigas and cheese platter. However the portions were too small, tapas in Spain doesn't mean to starve and I wasn't full after dinner. Staff is great and friendly, and again... More

The Food was Excellent and I'm looking forward to our next visit Maybe a better selection of drinks would make the place into a superb restaraunt

Just had a lovely Thursday evening meal here. We ordered six different tapas plus some bread and olives. Every single dish was delicious and there was more than enough for three hungry adults. For pudding we tried waffles with double cream and caramel sauce and strawberry meringue with ice cream. All three votes went to the waffles! The restaurant has... More

Like Tom below I am now wondering why we never visited El Toro before. Our party of five( one child) have just enjoyed Saturday tea with the early bird special (4 shared between us plus an extra tapas not on the deal) plus 2 portions of bread and olives finished off with huge meringues. The food was plentiful and excellent and... More

El Toro has been up and running for a while but I only just got round to trying it out last week - it made me wish I'd come sooner! The food was delicious, we got the early bird deal since it was early evening so it was great value for money too. There's a ton of choice of tapas... More

Visited on a Saturday evening. Lovely laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. The restaurant was not busy but drinks service was quite slow. Avoid ordering a jug of Sangria (£15) overpriced for a small jug crammed with pieces of fruit and not much Sangria. The cocktails however were great (£6) Our party of 6 ordered oodles of tapas. Stand out... More

We went here as a couple to celebrate my partner's birthday. The food was good, but we were the only people in the restaurant which meant the staff could hear every word we said. This made the whole evening rather awkward. Would only recommend on a weekend when it is a bit busier.

Thanks for your feedback, a lot of people like the fact we are quiet, we are not a city centre chain restaurant and far better suited for quiet romantic meals. You can rest assured our staff would not have been interested in your conversation and on the plus side you had a private restaurant with dedicated waiting staff :) More

Fantastic authentic food and great atmoposohere. The staff were really attentinve and polite. Would definitely reccomend to any tapas lover. We had 5 dishes which was plenty for two people and had cocktails which came to just over £40.00. Very reasonable.
