The best thing about this place is the setting in a large conservatory: perfect for a summer's evening. Food is more than good, but not especially memorable. The highlight for us was the sharing tapas starter which starred a really tasty chicken terrine, a gloriously...More

Terrible overpriced food. Rude staff. Accused my son of damaging a chair. Flooded toilet. Shrug of the shoulders when we told them about it. Inattentive staff. Don't waste your time.

We had a very nice meal here as a couple, eating in the early-ish evening just as the after-work crowd were departing. Noise levels dropped from an obtrusive level to something more intimate, but it was still busy even mid-week. Reservations wouldbe recommended. There was...More

We had really looked forward to this visit with friends we had not seen for a while. As we arrived the setting was lovely. It was pouring with rain, but sitting in the conservatory, it was like being different climate! As we sat down the...More

Visited this place because of how it looked. Lived up to my expectations because of that. Absolutely love how cosy it is. Staff was friendly although i felt they could have given me more attention while i was there. Something to improve on.

I made a reservation for 6 at Gee's for my birthday for 11am on a sunny Sunday. We were quickly shown to a spacious table in the otherwise packed restaurant. The surroundings of the restaurant and decor are beautiful. Our order was taken quickly and...More

After phoning up a week in advance to express a desire to have my birthday celebrations at Gee's, I asked if they could cater for a vegan, and the staff member’s response was yes. He explained that the manager would speak to the chef and...More

Visited with 3 friends on a Saturday evening. Place was very busy with family groups and parties. Young friendly staff seemed disorganised. Beautiful seasonal asparagus, ok fish course. Solid oxford restaurant but all the hard surfaces (tables, glass, high ceiling) means it is v noisy...More

Nice restaurant with continental-inspired menu. We had a set lunch which was served promptly and presented nicely. The food was good, but perhaps not best value for your money. The interior is a plus, however.

Our 2013 transformation remains loyal to Gee’s traditions of providing quality food & service in the most beautiful restaurant in Oxford. Whether flooded with mid-morning sunlight or under Oxford’s evening sky, Gee’s is the place to enjoy exceptional food in unique surroundings. The tables on the outdoor terrace are surrounded by the dense foliage of topiary & potted plants – & if you like the plants, some are available for sale. The new interior is filled with trees, new furniture, soft colours & lighting.Of course the important aspect of the new Gee’s is the cooking. A brand new kitchen incorporates a wood fired oven & a charcoal grill; food acknowledges the continued interest in the origin of ingredients, seasonality & the variety & abundance of local Oxfordshire produce.Gee’s remains the place in Oxford to enjoy a fabulous meal. There are dishes for sharing & dishes in two sizes to suit different appetites & times of the day. Expect great food to suit every occasion, served by knowledgeable & friendly waiters, in this beautiful, iconic glasshouse in North Oxford.
