Visited for my birthday 🥳 Great choice of keg craft ales, shame they didn’t have standard sprit choices (no Malibu or Archers) Cocktail choice was limited to bitter and sours, so wife had limited choice which was a shame. Food menu was right up our...street when looking for an American style menu choice. We went for the half southern fried chicken, Korean chicken bites, chips, coleslaw, tobacco onions, corn on the cob. All where really tasty and cooked well, if a little on the salty side. All in all we’d visited again.More

We stopped at The Jericho Tavern on our way into the centre of Oxford. While they have a good selection of beers and other tipples behind the bar the food was average. I had the sticky calamari which was tasty and it was a decent...sized portion. The Caesar salad however was very disappointing; it seemed to have been made with scraps of leftover chicken complete with skin and a small piece of bone. The lettuce was fresh but the sauce was quite bland and the cheese was not parmesan. Jericho Tavern has a large indoor space and a very pleasant beer garden.More

Our daughter treated us to pubs and restaurants all round Oxford. We loved this night! Lovely relaxed atmosphere. A little pub with a big beer garden… and a non stop deliveroo / just eat demand to satisfy’ The wait for food was around 45- 50...Minutes but that was fine! Ordering beer via phone app helps pass the time for old foagies. The wait was worth it! The food was LUSH! Football was on (euros 2020) and the support swung from one team to the other: was a very pleasant, chilled atmosphere! the cocktails post dinner were also very more-ish. So much so we had three. Pah ha ha Thank you for a lovely nightMore

You order by scanning the QR code on the table. Easy to order and lovely staff. The BEST burger i’ve ever had! Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted phenomenal. The interior decor had a modern yet classic feel to it. The lights are dim...which adds a nice atmosphere. Great food for a great price!!!More

Best vegetarian burger!! Highly recommended this and the courgette fries (which is actually spiralised, spicy courgette). Good portion with the sides. My reasonably choosy father also really enjoyed the chicken pie. Only thing was it taking a longgg time to get food, I was about...to go in and ask what was going on but then they explained their chef had called in sick.More

Hi, Thanks for the kind words and letting us know how your experience was. Apologies for the wait, illness can slow down our cooking times but I'm glad to hear it was worth the wait! Thanks again, The Jericho Team.

I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes at the Jericho Tavern but they need to sort it out quickly. We’ve been a few times before and have always enjoyed the meal. This visit shocked us as it was awful. Over an hour for...the food to arrive and then the mains arrived and we had to ask what happened to the starters…… Last visit my daughter had the vegan curry and it was delicious this time it was half the previous portion , no flat bread the rice was inedible. My other daughter had the Bangers and Mash which had obviously been reheated at some stage as the sausage had dried out and the mash was dry and crusty. Really disappointingMore
