The sort of place Costa etc aren’t. Homely, unpretentious, good value, nothing fancy but decent quality.

Visited today - we were passing and my son really fancied pancakes for breakfast - for £5.50 American style pancakes with bacon and syrup a bargain in central Oxford. Had the bacon roll and a coffee for £5.00. Full English breakfasts also looked good. Traditional...More

I ate beef sandwich and soon after I ate I felt nauseated. Taste was not good and the ingredients seem to not be fresh.. I don't think I will come back again..

Delicious, unpretentious and good value. We had beef, pork and felafel on chips (alternatively as a sandwich) just the thing between museums or waiting for a bus to come.

The St Giles' Cafe was a wonderful standard. Marvelous greasy sausages and beans and toast and chips and brown sauce. It was the same for many years. Then they made the fatal mistake of reinventing itself in the form of looking clean and hygienic. Even...More

After reading with great interest other reviews, I was so looking forward to having a coffee and a bite to eat in the St Giles Café. However surprisingly it has closed down and a big "to let" sign in the window. This café is now...More
