Enjoyed a very tasty fish plate to share. Service was efficent and friendly despite the pub being packed on a chilly, snowy Sunday lunchtime. Fabulous open fire was just what the Dr ordered! Idyllic location by the river. From experience, parking not always easy here...More

A little underwhelmed on all levels, seated in a very drafty area. Food very mediocre, no dish made any real impressions, fish platter starter very disappointing.

It was a cold day. We had a great long walk at Port Meadow. We wanted to go somewhere warm, them we saw this lovely pub. They have fire place. We had nice coffee next to the fire place. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The roast lamb was delicious, all food perfectly seasoned and I love that all roasts come with cauliflower cheese included! Super busy day but the host was lovely and accommodating, the fire was roaring!

Always enjoy walk from the trout to the perch, pretty walk to great pub garden . Lucky with weather . Location great , service can be slow and prices are on the higher side for a pub.
