Located across the street from the Ashmolean, you'll love the central location of this spacious, relatively elegant restaurant. I supposed one could classify it as fine dining but it's borderline. Believe it or not, the 3 course meal is more affordable than the 3 course...More

We felt like a little light lunch just after 1 p.m. whilst visiting Oxford. We found ourselves outside the Randolph Hotel, so went inside and asked at reception where we could have a light lunch. We were directed to the lounge on the right. I...More

Was stopping at the hotel so we thought we would try the Acanthus restaurant one evening. I chose the Barnsley chop which I have had before in Yorkshire and it was fantastic from a pub restaurant. I was therefore expecting great things from a 5...More

When you consider that this restaurant is the main showpiece in the 5star hotel in Oxford - it's woeful and not worthy of the tag 'Fine Dining' Staff are on the whole about as professional as I'd expect in a Beefeater. The food is below...More

The location and setting are great. The restaurant and the Randolph Hotel itself are stylish and pleasant. Unfortunately, even though the restaurant was very quiet during our visit, the service was completely disorganised. The were a maximum of 4 groups dining during our visit, but...More

As a visitor to Oxford on a recent business trip, my dining partner and I selected the Acanthus Restaurant based on his prior knowledge of the restaurant's opening and reviews. We did not have reservations, however it was a weekday night, and we were seated...More

We have eaten here a couple of times - service is attentive, ambience good, would work best for small group rather than romantic meal. Food 'gastropub style' but well executed. Strange choice of serving dish for the prawn cocktail - it is in a glass...More

I visited for a quick lunch on a Friday afternoon and was very disappointed that the food and service could not live up to the wonderful decor. Every single part of the meal was a disappointment. Although the restaurant was quite empty (and it felt...More

I'm not sure who's in charge, but they aren't training the staff in the important elements of food production or customer service

I love the Randolph's restaurant but am not sure if it's a good place to bring an 18 month old child. My husband and three associates need to have a business dinner(with spouses) which would be fine ordinarily. But one of his associates will have his child with him as well. They won't be staying at the Randolph. The other associates will be staying there. Can you guide me? Thanks!

Thank you for you question, we do accept children into the restaurant and this would not be an issue for us.
