The Arctic Fish Bar serves excellent Fish ' Chips. It's the best chippy in Chippy*. There's no restaurant, you can't dine there, but if you fancy a fish 'n chip takeaway you'll find none better. * Chippy is what the locals call Chipping Norton.

Very popular and busy family run business, always well staffed. Food is always very fresh and consistent and served up at a reasonable cost.

Chips were ok but meagre, good if your on a diet. Fresh cooked food ok but dry and tasteless out of hot cabinet. Staff quite negative and dont react well when order errors are bought to their attention. Stiffed me with a duff fiver in my change to add insult to injury I won't be going back.

Stopped off here on the way home from work but really wish I had not . Haddock was tasteless except for the grease and chips were not much better . In fact fish was that bad ,both cats did not eat the fish I left and it was thrown away the following morning .

Came here on out visit to Chipping Norton. Bought 2 cod and chips. Didn't wait that long. At my local chipper, you can ask for red sauce sachets for free and I thought it'd be the same at this place. Nope, I was wrong. They did label the sachet basket that it's 25p each, placed at the back counter. I... More

The smallest portion of fish and chips in England. Average, better than the grease trap up the road. I guess the bar I set pretty low here.

Huge portions of freshly cooked fish (Haddock) and chips, with mushy peas - personally I prefer my fish without the skin but it was easily removed,

We were absolutely ravenous when we came across The Arctic Fish Bar. We were quickly served with Fish and Chips (with scraps free of charge) to take away and they were delicious. Well-cooked, non greasy chips and lovely crisply battered fish. I haven't tasted F and C so well-prepared since my Yorkshire childhood.

Wonderful fresh cooked cod and chips, friendly service and reasonable price, what more could you ask. Just what I needed on a chilly evening before visiting the theatre

The chips were so good we went back for seconds! Partly because the "large chips" was about half the size of the portion you get in our local chippy. Still, they were delicious. Smiley staff too, which always helps.
