Our friends booked this hotel for our annual visit to Cheltenham races and after reading one or two reviews on Trip Advisor I was a little apprehensive but was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Our room was in the old coachhouse and was large and clean. The only downside being the pathetic shower over the bath which seems par for... More

We had a very nice lunch. We had the lamb. It was beautifully cooked although there was enough meat for 2 on one plate!! Nice vegetables. Friendly staff

My wife and I regularly use this hotel bar to eat and drink. The food is Brillant and there is a good selection of beers etc. We have never been disappointed with the quality of the food and the price is very reasonable. Don't be put off by the decor it is very 1970's, but fits in lovely. The staff... More

We visited the pub for a late lunch. The bar area has a good atmosphere and you could imagine that on a cold winter's day it would be very cosy with the log fire lit. The bar menu has a good selection and is reasonably priced. We ordered the liver & bacon with veg and scampi & chips both well... More

We had a late lunch here and cannot fault the food but the service is not great. No one was able to speak good English which in itself is not a problem but orders were not easily understood so some confusion! Bit dark and tired inside the bar but overall as the food was good would visit again.

We visited this fine pub after a local person recommended it to us and they were right . Very pleasant busy pub with great beer and well cooked lunchtime meals and light- bite snacks. The food was well presented tasted very nice and served by pleasant and efficient staff. Certainly worth a visit

Apparently the hotel's main restaurant is only open a few nights a week so we ate in the . On both occasions we ate there we had good , solid meals , shoulder of lamb , steak and chips etc .

We visited the pub for dinner as we were staying in a close by village, me and my girlfriend both ordered the fish and chips with a bottle of Sol and a J2O. It wasn't long before I found the fish ridden with bones which was not stated on the menu & also the beer we ordered was out of... More
