Me and mrs fishers is an old styled cafe which is just brilliant. Small and very welcoming. Good wholesome homecooked food. Quality ingredients sensibly priced.

I had my baby shower here recently and everything was just perfect. A fabulous spread had been prepared followed by a selection of beautiful cakes. But what stood out the most was how lovely and accommodating the staff were. And so friendly! They really had that personal, family touch and I came away feeling very looked after. Thank you so... The wonderful team at Me and Mrs Fisher hosted a baby shower for us and it was fantastic from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for more, from planning, decor and the menu they accommodated our every need. The space is great and the food amazing, the cakes are to die for especially the chocolate one!

This lovely place has recently changed hands and has been redecorated in a warm and tasteful style. The new owners are lovely and they certainly seem to be keen to build on the good name Me and Mrs Fisher have. I popped in for tea and a scone a few days ago and was not disappointed. The plane scone jam... More

Whilst the food was tasty and the cafe a pleasant design, the waitress was very in our faces, not always a bad thing I admit. However after she had asked where we had come from, she gave us a twenty minute story skit her visits to our hometown and how horrible a place it was. She told us it was... More

Another very lovely visit to Mrs Fisher. Busy on a Saturday lunch but managed to sneak in. We had a lovely avocado and bacon salad and a bean and chorizo stew. Both gorgeous. Lovely vintage pop up upstairs and lovely gifts and arty stuff downstairs. What more could you want. Go but make sure you leave room for me too.

This is a small, friendly, family run feel cafe. The food is simple but very tasty. I had a salad with warm bacon and avocado, lovely combination. Sensibly priced for an off the beaten path cafe, it is close to St. Paul's street car park so convenient if parked at Monk Bar side of York. It is not the modern... More

We called in here on our way to a wedding in York. It was wet and cold and we were in need of tea and bacon sandwiches! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and made us feel very much at home. The cakes are all home made and delicious. The Pink lemonade cake with fresh raspberries inside and gorgeous icing... More

We stayed at the Best Western effectively next door to Me and Mrs Fisher. Our friends are not breakfast people so we hadn't included breakfast in our hotel booking. My husband and I ARE breakfast people and they were happy to come for coffee to start our two days in York. What a treat it was to walk through the... More
