Came in for afternoon tea with family and was offered a table by the roaring fire! The service was prompt and perfect! Afternoon tea was incredible. By far the best I’ve had. I even enjoyed the egg brioche rolls! We had the orange and passion...More

The menu was fully explained and the choices of Teas - amazing! The sandwiches were tasty especially the salmon, the scones were by far the best scones I have ever had, crispy on the out side and lovely and soft in the middle - just...More

Sadly disappointing. This was my third afternoon tea here in recent months. The food was very nice, and as a vegetarian, I was catered for easily. However, the seating area was really quite dirty, crumbs and other food matter was all over the bench style...More

Beautiful location and good food, the service is great. Good job! The position is strategic and perfect, it’s in the center of the city and near the commercial center.

Visited for afternoon tea. By far the best I've had. The portions were more than ample. So much in fact we had to ask for a doggy bag. The staff were lovely. Attentive without being intrusive. The surroundings are very luxurious. Beautiful paintings and other...More

Previously eaten at The Lavender House and glad to see Richard Hughes's cooking is still up to par. Good standard of brasserie style food and good value for money. Only thing that let it down slightly was that we had to wait a while to...More

Not great surroundings...no art on the walls, shoved in a corner, table not clean. Food over rated...cakes made with fairly cheap ingredients so very over processed taste for my liking. Looked pretty but that’s all. The price reflects what should be better.
