We have been visiting Akbars in Middlesbrough for years now and always visit with our family. The food is always great and the staff are always friendly and genuinely happy to see you return time and time again.

We've been here a number of times but the last few times have been disappointing. The meals are over salted and not as tasty. If you are wanting a romantic setting be aware that the restaurant area is large and can be very noisy. Carrying a conversation is sometimes chaotic, we've had to speak very loudly. Not much fun for... More
I have eaten in Akbar Glasgow on numerous occasions, so I knew the quality and variety on offer. I was not disappointed. We were served by an extremely pleasant and knowledgable waiter called Morshed, he explained several dishes and we opted for the Chefs special Baltic and lamb chops. Each excellent value and delicious. If you want a traditional taste... More

Have been a few times before and I know everyone raves about akbars but I must admit I can not get over excited. The food was quite nice but it is also so noisy , the tables are a bit to close together and there is also always a few parties in. Worth a visit

Hi I would like to book at table on Sat 17th August at Middlesbrough for 4 people at 20:00hrs. But I understand you do not take bookings for less than 8 people. As one of our party is in a wheelchair we really would like a bit extra room at the table please. I don't want to just turn up and find that you cannot accommodate us. Is there any chance I can reserve a table please?
