I would like to ask the Michelin Star judges: where did they actually go when they gave this place their star? How utterly misleading. The place is very very busy even on a rainy London weekday. It was impossible to get a reservation and so...More

Beautiful restaurant offering a very attractive Indian menu. This a high end restaurant and the prices as well as the food reflect that. Nice atmosphere and would recommend it for special occasion in your trip

We booked a table for six. We followed it up by a phone call to check if the restaurant caters for nut allergy people. We received rude answers and they cancelled our table as if nut allergy was a contegious disease.

The restaurant decoration is modern and fashion with very dark colours (which I am not entirely found of). However, it is clear and elegant. But the crucial thing here is not about the decoration or the trendiness of the place : it is all about...More

Home to the vast majority of embassies and diplomatic
residences in London, sophisticated and upscale
Belgravia also boasts a wealth of luxury hotels, fine
dining restaurants, and some of the city’s most stroll
worthy lanes. While the prices here are high, taking a
leisurely stroll through the streets of picturesque
and elegant white stucco houses is free. Hyde Park and
the Buckingham Palace Gardens are only a stone's throw

Amaya is the sister fine dining restaurant of Chutney Mary and Veeraswamy. It focuses uniquely on sophisticated Indian grills, seasoned with subtle complex marinades. These are cooked in full view in a theatrical restaurant show kitchen It is a casual and joyous restaurant where people can relax and eat with their fingers if they wish. The real Indian food is designed to be shared and is served as it is prepared. There are no conventional first courses or main courses.Amaya achieved the rare distinction of winning the two most prestigious restaurant awards in the UK in the same year - The Tio Pepe ITV Awards for Best Restaurant as well as the Best New Restaurant. This is the first time either award has been awarded to a restaurant serving non - European food, let alone an Indian restaurant. In 2006, it also became one the very few Indian restaurants to be awarded a Star in any Michelin Red Guide.
