You really must book here as it gets so busy. A true tapas experience. The food is of exceptionally high quality. Due to the number of customers service can be rushed, but this only adds to the genuine experience.

We were rushed into making an order as we came into the restaurant at the cut off time for lunch. Fair enough this was our mistake, and we were still able to order. However, we weren't offered a drink, our food came luke warm, and plain. The place was beautiful, and the girl who served us was very nice. I... More

The food at Brindisa is always excellent and well priced, with a great range of dishes on the menu. Service was good as was the wine.

We were by London Bridge and decided to look for a place to eat, there are plenty of restaurant s by the river but decided to walk towards Borough market and we came across this Tapas bar-Brindisa and thought we would eat there as we did not want a big heavy meal.We ordered a selection of food from the Tapas menu... We keep coming back, even though you cannot book waiting for a few minutes at the bar with a glass or two of Cava is not a hardship. Sometimes the service is a bit slow but always friendly. The food on Easter Saturday evening was excellent especially the rib eye steak, but enjoyable between 4.

We visited Borough Market on Easter Saturday and as we love tapas and this place looked good and popular we got there early at mid-day which was just as well it was completely full by 12.20. We sat on a high table by the door which was great for people watching. We ordered patatas bravas, gambas al ajillo, pimentos de... More

So... Brindisa has long been a favourite of ours but having looked forward to our next dinner, I can only say we were left feeling disappointed. The recent menu change isn't good, the reduction in choice, removal of staple favourites and the introduction of lots of open sandwiches have left us thinking about alternatives. Great service as usual but no... More

-Food quality OK -service OK However,..... too speedy everything and no touch point in between. And.... give me a break. They add 12,5% gratuity on the bill upfront. Is not acceptable. I m the customer and I decide. If you don t change this practice I won t come back. Rob

The food is good, perhaps not to the standard brindisa used to be but worth a visit. Meatballs with small 'Fries' are my favourite and the blue cheese and walnut salad is a nice refreshing accompaniment. Wonderful place to come if you can grab a table outside. It's a real sun trap amidst the mad tourist metropolis that is London... More

We were told that Brindisa was a good place to eat and the service was great but one of the guys of the staff (ALEX) has been really rude to us, and treated us in a very unrespectful way, not adding that we waited for like an hour and finally decided to leave very insulted.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
