Well informed servers, delicious fresh oysters, and possibly the best Sole (several versions including Dover and Lemon) you'll ever have. This was my first time at Scott's and I have it a high rating. It's priced accordingly to the quality of the food and waitstaff.

A perfect birthday lunch from start to finish. Arrived early so we could sit at the bar and had a great mango bellini. The room was beautiful and I was lucky enough to get a corner table , perfect for people watching. The sashimi was the best I have ever tasted and the gravlax as good as in Scandinavia. The... More

Really liked the place but somehow expected more !. Food [steak and fish] was cooked well. Portion sizes ok but not large. Service was ok but a bit on the slow side and not as personable as I would have liked. Décor of the place is good and spotlessly clean. Just seemed to lack something ! This is no a... More

I loved Scott's from the second I walked through the door. What a great atmosphere it has. We were early so our table wasn't ready yet but our charming hostess efficiently placed us at a spot on the bar for us to have a drink while we waited. Once seated we had a delicious meal of lobster and dressed crab... More

I love this restaurant. Always superb food and wonderful service. Today I rang as some dear friends were there having lunch after secretly getting married. I wanted to send over some champagne. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful in organising this in a special, considerate way. Says a huge amount about the service when you are... More

You come for the dover sole for sure. The fish specials are amazing as well. Cod and halibut also very good. Service is a bit snooty and rushed to some degree. You get a table for 2 hours and that's it although they tell you that when booking. The desserts are also very good. Cheesecake to share is literally a... More

The waiting staff and manager were fantastic. The food was excellent from the chilled asparagus/prawn starters, the sole goujons/lobster mains with yummy sides to the oh so DELICIOUS Bakewell Pudding. A marvellous meal with excellent old fashioned service. The reason I am not giving this an excellent is because of the rather off-hand member of the 'meet and greet' team... More

Always love going to Scott's when we go to London - recommend friends to go too! Love the Lobster Thermidor. On my most recent visit I had the Halibut with the shellfish raviolo and tarragon sauce - it was superb! Decor - Art Deco. Although it looks formal, the atmosphere and ambience is relaxing and informal. Service is always spot... More

Scott's is one of the best, if not the best, seafood restaurants in the U.K. Seafood options are unlimited, with every kind of preparation you can desire. The desert will make your experience an unforgettable one.

Description
Originally an oyster warehouse, Scott's has been serving up its legendary seafood since 1851. A conveniently short walk from Green Park and Bond Street tube stations, this Mayfair mainstay uses burgundy leather banquettes and subdued lighting to create an air of old-school elegance which reflects the restaurant's chic clientele. Designed by Martin Brudnizki and highlighted by the exquisite bar topped with onyx and finished in stingray skin, the revamped interior of Scott's still carries the 1960's glamour of yesteryear. Traditional fish and seafood dishes dominate the menu, although seasonal meat and game make an appearance. Atlantic Halibut, Dover Sole and Lobster have proven to be popular choices, and there is also a Roasted Shellfish platter for two to share. The famous oyster bar with its three-metre crustacean display offers a more relaxed dining area and there is also an art deco-style private dining room, ideal for canapé receptions, press launches and private celebrations.

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
