Pleasant lunch with family (including Baby) - cosy restaurant. Staff are friendly and attentive. Good place to eat if you are in the Islington area

Fun little Nordic style restaurant in Angel. For dinner I went for the soft shell crab brioche roll and my friend had The Butchers Board which was HUGE. Dinner was nice and I can't complain about the food but I have heard this is really a place to go for breakfast/brunch as it looks as though that's what they do... More

Hi We have been three people yesterday night in the restaurant and the food was horrible (in particular main meals). We have been sick all the night afterwards and I am still sick today. All has been said hasnt it?

Very busy on the Saturday we visited. With booking a table if you're going. There is a nice cosy atmosphere and the food we had was delicious I'm not particularly expensive. One of our party was very happy with her vegetarian "full English" while my two sons were more than happy with their carnivore "full English". I had a delicious... More

I went here for New Years lunch with my old school friend, we meet up a couple of times a year and thought this would be a nice place to visit. The service was excellent, atmosphere was again above standard. The food on the other hand - would of been great - if it was hot. we had to wait... More

I came here as a group of 11 for an evening meal on a Friday. It's not a huge place so I recommend booking. It's in a gorgeous little alleyway in Islington with some quirky shops. We were put on a long table in the back corner, which was perfect as we weren't squashed in and didn't have people pushing... More

...and come to The Elk instead! Great brunch. We had grilled half avocado, perfectly ripe, with poached eggs on toast plus pancakes w blueberry ice cream. Both dishes were delicious.

I really fancied an english breakfast along Camden Passage, we were served quickly an the menu seemed really varied and interesting but when the food arrived we realised how average it was. I ordered the veggie breakfast, it didn't seem exciting but then again it was words on a menu and I thought the actual food might taste different. It... More

My friend and I had popped in here for a light bite weeks ago and really enjoyed it. I decided to come again a couple of weeks later to bring my mum and her friends. Out of interest I checked trip advisor to check on recent reviews and was nearly put off by some very mixed reviews. We took a... More

Celebrating a family birthday. Atmosphere was cosy although dimmed lighting and colour of menus made them almost impossible to read. Staff were helpful. Unfortunately one of our meals had to be sent back (the beef ribs) as it was so fatty. The other portion of beef ribs was fine. Desserts and wine were good.
