Nice atmosphere, traditional style. Lovely juicy burger and the pie was fantastic with the gravy. Recommended.

After my lasted review regarding the lack of customer service it happen again. Through that I will try the Lion again after the management reassured me that training will take place regarding a male member of staff, not true. Visited the pub on Saturday 7th at lunchtime and the same guy was working so I thought lets see what happens,... More

Been several times at this pub and really like it. The second floor dining room is very cosy and inspiring. The pub food is as always cured and fresh. Highly recommended.

Me and my mother went to Angus steakhouse and dreamgirl on Tuesday. The next day we wasn't sure where or what we fancied to eat, we came across this pub, we went upstairs to this cosy restaurant. The lady there welcomed us and got us a table. After taking our drinks and food order we just chilled out as it... More

We have eaten here several times, but the last time was awfull. We arrived about 5.20 p.m. It was very cold in the restaurant, and the lady confirmed that, and said that she would turn on the heating. We held our coats on the whole of the time, for she did not turn it on. I was looking forward to... More

Nice atmosphere, vibrant, lovely place with decent service. It is also nice upstairs by the window so you can have a view of the Covent Garden non stop movement. Tasty traditional dishes and huge selection of beers. I would recommend to try the traditional British beef pie and of course the fish & chips both delicious. I would visit again.

Uhm..where do I start? We tried for dinner this pub just above Covent Garden tube station. A bit crowded, but the staff offered a table on 15 minutes promising to call us from the drinking hall downstairs when available. After 20 minutes we got upstairs and find a table, they forgot to call us. We ordered a pie and fish... More

We visited the White Lion in Covent Garden on a Sunday whilst visiting London to see the festive lights. This area of London is easy to access by public transport with Covent Garden tube station located close by, though if you do not like steps or queuing for lifts then Leicester Square tube station is a reasonable walk away. Over the past year a group of friends meet up once a month in london for a pint or two and we always spend most of the time and money in the White Lion, which has been fine until yesterday. The bartender working yesterday lunchtime needs to go. The bad attitude was off the scale. Not once in the 3... More
