Perhaps this is my favourite Japanese restaurant in London. Great food, reasonably priced. Love love the skewers.

Wonderful Japanese food. Very helpful staff to help you with the menu. I would certainly go again but a bit pricey.

Had an early dinner on a Sunday evening at this charming Japanese restaurant. Quite tightly packed, it reminds me of the restaurants in Japan with a few small tables and bar seating. Started with edamame and miso soup, of which there are three to choose from. I chose miso-shiro which had tofu and spring onions, darker than usual restaurant miso... More

It's a tiny restaurant which is very easy to miss! The food was great. £185 for 6 of us! You have to ask for Edamame beans to be hot and salted- because they come up cold if you don't! They have a street level and below stairs area.

This restaurant is not about luxury interior but all about food. Very small but cosy place. Service is good. But the main thing is food for sure. Best sashimi in Hampstead, wide choice of skewers. Good sake list.

I often go there for lunch and dinner, the grilled set is amazing and the pork Tonkatsu is the signature dish. You will have reserve a table no matter when you go, it is very busy. Without reservation, you will end up waiting for an hour or more even during lunch hours.

Probably the best restaurant in the Hampstead neighbourhood. The food is authentic, the menu provides a wide range of choice, sushi, udon, tempura, skewers, snack etc. The sushi here is good and fresh but the best thing about Jin Kichi is its speciality, the Japanese skewers. Do sprinkle the spice powder provided on top of the skewers! Sitting at the... More

We have been to Jin Kichi a few times, as local to us. And we always have a great meal. The cooked skewers are amazing, we love in particular the chicken skin (you need to pre-order these as they run out very quickly), asparagus wrapped in pork, duck and spring onion. Also the tempura is yummy, as of course the... More

Tasty Japanese food on Friday lunchtime...I emailed to reserve but did not receive a reply. Went there anyway and had the Sashimi, Tempura, lunchtime Bento box and 3 types of Sake...All delicious, in an authentic surrounding...cost £75

Best sushi around apart from atariya. Their website for takeaway collection is atrocious. Salmon sashimi, unagi and deep fried squid is great. Service in restaurant is good too, very quick service they have high turnover and don't let you stay for too long when you book.
