A hidden gem off upper street, this restaurant is well worth a visit. Been several times over the last few years and it never disappoints. Went again last weekend and the food was amazing, would recommend the sharing antipasta to start, and all 6 pasta dishes ordered between the table were delicious. Service was excellent! Would highly recommend.

We wanted somewhere relaxed with great food to have a girls dinner in Islington and Antonio's ticked every box. The food was amazing - especially the antipasto starter, and seabass main as well as the freshly made, beautiful al dente pasta. Everything was reasonably priced and the venue was the lovely and cosy yet cool. Best of all however were... More

Good food and nice staff but service was a little slow is the only real criticism. Well priced and good selection of food. Overall there are more special places in angel (le petite) for the price but worth a try.

This restaurant is cheap and cheerful (as long as you don't add any sides as they are pretty expensive for what they are). Pretty average food at average prices overall.

We discovered Antonios while walking up Upper Street looking for a bite to eat one evening with family. We did not know what to expect and I am a very picky restaurant guest! It was fantastic, great menu, classic authentic Italian dishes with regional dishes thrown in and this goes for the wine menu also. We enjoyed it so much... More

We took 5 Norwegians for dinner there and from the other reviews we must have been in an alternative restaurant / universe. We were seated in cramped conditions considering the restaurant was half empty. The service was non commital and the food was quite pricey for the quality. Maybe we should try it again as it could be a one... More

I had one of the tastiest meals here of this trip to London, and we ate out the whole weekend. The decor and atmosphere was great, and we were very impressed with the service. Having just spent two weeks in Italy, we enjoyed this Italian food better than some of the restaurants we had been to in Florence. My home... More

We arrived early but were shown our table immediately. We were asked if we had a theatre booking, so they could serve us quickly but we had no time constraints. We ordered a bottle of the red wine of the week, which was very nice. We ordered four different starters which were all very good and my mussels were superb.... More

Description
Antonio’s Ristorante is a family owned Italian restaurant on Upper Street in Islington one of London restaurants most popular eating and drinking destinations. From the beginning the aim has been to provide good quality homemade Italian food and to create a memorable experience for our guests in a happy and cosy environment. At Antonio's we believe in informal but excellent service. When it’s comes to cookery Antonio who was born in England & father is from Calabria, South Italy believes in a good quality but basic concept with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of flavour.
