Went last night for my dad's birthday dinner and staff were incredibly rude. I enquired about a specific meal I had seen on there website (the only one I'm able to eat here since there are no vegan options whatsoever) and they insisted that they've never heard of this dish before and that I must be wrong. I went on... More

After an evening at the English National Ballet we wanted to eat locally and quickly and found the 190 Queens Gate Bistro. We weren't after a heavy meal so elected for a couple of starters and a single main between the two of us and as it's dry January just mineral water. We were both really pleased with our meals.... We visited the Bistro 190 for dinner on the 23rd of December. We arrived around 9.20 PM. We both went for two courses and shared a dessert to end up with. The Cod with brased lentils was exquisite. The interiors are very elegant same as the restaurant set up itself. Maybe a nice runner on top of the table could... More

I reserved a table at One Ninety Bistro for a dinner with my mother. The food was incredible, in particular we tasted duck liver and rib. We was really satisfied about service and we would like to thank you Mr. Dennis for the wonderful dinner experience and enjoyable evening.

I had planned a number of visits during the Proms season to a venue, which had been an unqualified success in the past, when it offered a choice between an a la carte and a set menu that changed weekly. This has changed to an a set menu of limited choice that did not change during the entire Proms Season.... More

If you are going to see a performance at the Royal Albert Hall then this place is ideal. They have a fixed price pre theatre menu in a comfortable, very traditionally decorated dining room. The menu choices were limited to three per course and everything we had was very well cooked and tasty.

We had what we planned to be a romantic late night dinner here. The food was very nice and was prepared and presented well. The staff were stretched between the dining area and the function room so absent much of the time. They managed to greatly agitate another guest who protested throughout our meal with a raised voice. No attempt... More

If you are going to the Proms at Royal Albert Hall and want a bite beforehand, where do you go within walking distance? Unfortunately not much of a choice! So on this count One Ninety offers proximity and therefore convenience. However, this comes with a slight lack of atmosphere in a room which feels rather like a railway station. The... More

Dined at Bistro One Ninety before going to Royal Albert Hall. The food was excellent and served very professionally by attentive friendly staff. Fish of the day (Hake) was the best i have ever had and the Rissotto also equally impressive. Pricing aws as expected on set menu but a little surprised that bottled water came in at £5 per... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
