Went there with an Indian friend who helped with me choose from the very large menu. Great food. Great wines. But one or two of the waiting staff were not very inviting: it didn't look like they wanted to be there!! And my jacket still...More

Tried this local place that was near my hotel. There was an extensive menu and the food was outstanding. I had the grilled lamb chops which tasted fantastic. I thought it was very reasonably priced.

I went to Bina Gardens last night for dinner with four business colleagues. I was asked to order for the entire table as they had all approved of my menu choices previously. As per usual, the bustling waiters were efficient and all food orders were...More

Needed a table for two and we were put on a small table right at the back in a dark corner. The waiter seated us, took the neatly folded serviettes, opened them and simply left them in a mess on each side of the table...More

We ate here twice in eight days as my son enjoyed their Butter chicken and we were staying nearby. It is neighborhood place and off the tourist track. They also made something of menu for us which was sweet. Good portions and attentive service. I...More

The food is above average but the service is nothing to write home about. However, what I did not realise until I left the place is that they trick you into paying twice for service. First they put a 12% "voluntary" fee on the bill...More

I came here on a Friday evening when in the area with a client, I could have gone to the Star of India but chose this instead. It was quiet when we walked in but got busy quickly. The service was attentive and quick, but...More

No problem getting a reservation one hour before sitting down at 7pm on a Wednesday. We were three and we were seated in very (too) close proximity to our neighbouring tables. Service was much too fast and glasses that were empty were immediately whisked away....More

This place is very much in demand by the local customer because they do take care very well of you. Always the same staff, the food is consistent, and the service very fast. I have been going there for year and they always recognize you.

Recently ate here with my husband and two young sons. The food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was very nice, but a bit more formal than "Memories of India" which we had eaten at prior.

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

Description
There's something special about Noor Jahan that not only attracts big-name eaters - Hugh Grant, Eric Clapton and Rowan Atkinson, but also a veritable army of devoted regulars who make a habit of dining there. Maybe it's the Chef specialities, like the special recipes for chicken, lamb, king prawns and duck, but also our own British invention of chicken tikka masala. Lunchtimes are slightly subdued with the business of the day, but evenings are more vivacious and warm. The decor is simple, the service welcoming, and the cooking convincing. No wonder Noor Jahan has been a local landmark for nearly forty years.
