I go to this exceptional curry-house with my friends, family and girlfriend and it is consistently the best curry available in London. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly, in addition to the most delicious freshly prepared food! Could not recommend it highly enough. I...More

My wife and I stopped in here based on a personal recommendation and were impressed. The service was top notch and the curry was pure magic. The volume was quite loud as this place was packed to the gills. I’d suggest a reservation if coming...More

Food is pretty ok, not the best Indian around but ok. Unfortunately the service is really rather rude and the price tag a bit on the heavy side.

Their food is delicious and we tend to order for a take away as the service can be a little bit rushed at the restaurant and the venue itself could benefit from a face lift. However, if you are after excellent Indian food then go...More

From the outside, it looks like your typical Indian restaurant in London. White table cloths and napkin and waiters dressed in white shirts in black waistcoats. But boy oh boy, is it the best Indian ever! The poppadoms are fresh, served with the usual chutney...More

Since the Star of India closed around the corner, this place has been difficult to get a table in on Friday and Saturday. Very popular almost to the point of being manic. The food is good if you can get in. We were initially offered...More

Having been to this Indian restaurant before and enjoyed the food we decided to go again whilst down in London. As with a lot of restaurants in London at the weekend it was very very busy . It seemed as though they had craned far...More

Popped in after going to the Drayton Arms theatre. There were a few tables free. The welcome was warm and we were seated straight away. Prices were reasonable. Menu choice was good. Service was very fast, food came out almost as soon as we'd ordered,...More

Excellent Service asked the waiter to recommend something and he did so. Lamb Curry and Dhal on the sideline. Atmosphere lovely but needs a bit of background music. Prices are a bit high and not for a family outing too expensive. Rating on food average...More

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

Description
There's something special about Noor Jahan that not only attracts big-name eaters - Hugh Grant, Eric Clapton and Rowan Atkinson, but also a veritable army of devoted regulars who make a habit of dining there. Maybe it's the Chef specialities, like the special recipes for chicken, lamb, king prawns and duck, but also our own British invention of chicken tikka masala. Lunchtimes are slightly subdued with the business of the day, but evenings are more vivacious and warm. The decor is simple, the service welcoming, and the cooking convincing. No wonder Noor Jahan has been a local landmark for nearly forty years.
