First time at Grumbles and the Grumbles steak was unbelievably delicious. Highly recommended. They could do bettere on the appetizers, big dish but little food in the plate and not as delicious as the main course. The restaurant's inside is very nice though. Great atmosphere!

Went for dinner yesterday. Shared a very fresh crayfish salad then husband had steak with brown sugar and mustard and I had the lamb tagine. All delicious with good friendly service. Have been going there for over 20 years and have not had a bad meal yet. A lovely neighbourhood bistro. Enjoyable with a crowd or just two.

My partner and me were looking forward to a romantic Valentines Day meal, but unfortunately we didn't get one. We went straight for a main course. I opted for a rib eye steak and my partner for a filet steak, both medium rare. Normally rib eye is to me the tastiest cut, but this piece of meat on my plate... More

Called in with a colleague on a Monday night, without a reservation. They were very busy but found us a table. Service was efficient and attentive without being overbearing Food was fresh, tasty and we'll presented, even down to the bread and olives - simple good quality. The lamb tagine was superb Simple touches showed thoughtfulness - the table nearest... More

Everything was perfect. Great attentive service, it was very busy and we were constantly looked after. Amazing flavoured food. Shame we couldn't manage dessert!

We are new to the Pimlico area, so were looking for a local restaurant to use regularly, and went to Grumbles on the strength of other TripAdvisor reviews on 23 Jan 2017. Sadly, I wish we hadn't. The ambience was fine, as was the service, but the food was, I am afraid, dire. The snails I had as a starter... More

We paid another visit to this excellent French bistro in Pimlico on Saturday night and weren't disappointed. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and the food is delicious. The menu is fairly short with dishes to suit all tastes and there are daily specials. Unfortunately the lamb rump special had sold out but we had no difficulty finding other... More

Always a favourite when we visit London. Friendly, full of character and great food. Love the traditional furniture.

Grumbles was a cute little bistro. Menu had nice selection for everyone in the family. Sunday roast beef was a good hearty pick.

Grumbles used to be a great restaurant with great food. Alas, not any more. I had lunch there this week and the food was terrible - the creamy sweet potato was not creamy, the fried monk fish tail was greasy and not cooked through, the potatoes should have been boiled but weren't, and the ice cream was cheap and nasty.... Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
