Moti Mahal used to be my favourite Indian restaurant in London and then they closed. They've reopened in Drury lane and plan to remodel the decor in February. I was seriously disappointed with the new restaurant. Many items of food and drink were unavailable. Table...More

Extremely expensive for backstreet Indian restaurant. I booked to go with some friends and was quite embarrassed that I picked this place as it was so expensive and prices charged you'd expect 'fine dining' not average Indian food.

My partner and I visited this restaurant last month and we both really enjoyed it. I was particularly impressed with how well they catered to food intolerances/allergies-and mine are rather vast! Their menu is very clear with which dishes contain gluten and dairy which makes...More

They have recently moved location I think but the restaurant quality in terms of taste is still fantastic. Brilliant service and lovely surroundings. Really enjoyed the king prawns, cooked to perfection. Will be back soon.

The place has won a prize for cleanliness and indeed seems clean. t Also, the service was nice. But the food lacked in spices, the meat was over cooked, tired vegetables, and rice was just OK. Bottom line, I would not return to this place....More

I was so disappointed that the old Moti Mahal has closed down. There are new owners and a new chef. The food is now distinctly average, in fact it was terrible. It used to be treat to come to the old Moti Mahal, but I...More

Booked for a different restaurant and when we arrived in Great Queen St it was not at that address -rang to ask where they were. They then said they had moved (but didn't tell us when we booked). The one we then had to go...More

By far this small cute little restaurant surprised us. It is few steps walk from the Natural History Museum. Very friendly staff, no nonsense. They prepare the food in basement and watch how the food is sent to the main level. Pretty cool 🙂

Moti Mahal is the chic London outpost of the celebrated Delhi restaurant which opened in 1959. 'An unexpected delight' (Hardens Guide), Inspired by the culinary roots of India, particularly along the famed Grand Trunk Road, Chef Anirudh Arora brings you time-honoured dishes and recipes. By accentuating new tastes and flavours from India's richly woven history, the new menu at Moti Mahal is a feast for the senses. A perfect setting, with curved glass-fronted kitchen and gleaming copper bar, and attentive service will transform your meal in a memorable experience, and Moti Mahal is also 'perfect before a show' (Zagat).
