The bar tender over charged on purpose, lied when asked for a receipt and gave one that was dated an hour prior to the order and agreed to give back the real one he hide and to refund when the police was called... definitely not a welcoming place to go out in London, there are enough good bars serving Guinness... This pub is based on a great location tucked in a quieter backdrop of the bust streets of Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street and a short walk to Soho. The Guinness is great and decor is good. I great to pop into to get out of the hustle and bustle of London. Great pub in a great location. My... More

The Toucan pub has the best Guinness in London. The staff is very kind and the place is so nice! Well located and easily accessible for those in the center shopping on Piccadilly and strolling through SoHos

Okay I would say unique but very little is and I'm sure there are other bars very similar to this. Anyway, skipping the semantics, this place is small, tiny you might say, and while not wishing to enter the debate about 'best Guinness' they do serve a good Guinness here. This is a welcoming place because it is so small,... More

This is one small pub - but it really is more about the outdoor area as I discovered. Even on a cold December night the heaters kept things toasty warm. I don't drink Guiness which is a bit of a waste as this place is obviously all about Guinness - the white wine was passable. Great for a quintessentially london-ish... More

One of my favourite pubs in london, been coming here for years. No frills, just a great pint of Guinness. They've now branched out with a couple of lagers but that hasn't spoilt the place. Pretty reasonably priced for soho too.

If its the craic and the Guinness you are after you'll find it at the Toucan. It's a Soho institution in the heart of London off Oxford Street that has the Guinness flowing. They also serve the Irish crisps Tayto, which are a must!

always have a great time here. my Guiness mates are always happy, and lager me now has Hop House 13, so we're all sound. It's a lovely little place in the middle of Soho. Upstairs and down. Mine hosts make us all welcome. Come in and drink, there's no reason not to

The Toucan is a great small and cozy pub just off Soho Square that has plenty of Guinness on tap. The seats downstairs are shaped like a Guinness punt and there's a real vibe to the place because it specialises in Guinness and also has Guinness decor all around the pub. I'd recommend this for any thirsty visitor to London.... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
