The Tiroler is the place for a wonderful dining experience, especially when celebrating with family. Great food, great service and the best entertainment. But most of all, the host Joseph makes you feel you're a welcome guest in his home. Enjoyed very much.

Even Joszef is Hungarian and his wife Austrian, he is a great one man show entertainer and more Austrian than most of them. the food is basic Austrian with schnitzel and black pudding, the selection of Austrian wine and beer could be a little bit bigger, but overall a place for a relaxed casual evening with def. some entertainment on... In this basement you feel at home :-) The staff tend to your needs in a relaxed bavarian way in lederhosen and a good smile.

Last Saturday night I had my birthday party in the Tiroler hut. It was the best birthday party I ever had. The food was excellent and the entertainment was brilliant. Joseph is a legend. He is such a brilliant MC. The service was amazing with such attentive and happy waiters and bar staff. The whole place was had a very... More

Im half Austrian and know what to look out for when it comes to food. It was absolutely delicious and tasty, which is a rare combination. It's definitely 'home' cooked food everything from scratch as you can taste it. The staff were all very nice and I even got to speak German ( optional). Very efficient service and it was... More

The Tiroler Hut was just around the corner from where we stayed. Located down the stairs and plenty of beer steins to go around. Make sure you have reservation. We were there on a weeknight and it was full. Plenty of entertainment, from your waiter carrying 13 beer steins at a time to the owner playing the cow bells. Everyone... More

Despite its incognito presence amongst the other restaurants on Westbourne Groove, this place has what others strive to be have ... atmosphere. Traditional good food served with live music and traditional clothes gives you the feeling of not being in London but in Tirol. And the beers are in the right size. I will be back.

I took my mother and fiance to Tiroler for dinner and we had an absolute blast. The food was delicious, and may I add, consistent with local tastes of the Bavarian way! Joseph, the main proprietor of the establishment, took the time to greet us as well as other guests and gave his full energy into providing music for the... More

Great authentic Austrian restaurant. We went as a group of four and had an absolute blast. We had lots of sharing food which worked really well for us, which I couldn't really fault. The atmosphere was really quite something, added by the live music filled full of cowbells and yodelling! I really did have a great time, we all did.... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
