25 years ago River Café brought to London truly authentic Italian cookery using the freshest ingredients as if one were in Italy; the quality of the food and experience remains superb. First it is located along the Thames in Hammersmith and is a tad hard...More

So, we were booked for a 7PM dinner (12 April) to celebrate my husband's birthday after getting great reviews on this place. It did not disappoint- the food was so fresh and the simple ingredients weaved magic into every dish we tried. Big 'thumbs up'...More

This really is an excellent restaurant, if extremely expensive. It's stylish but not too uptight. Service is excellent. Food is really fantastic. Do have their ravioli, risotto or fish when on offer. They also have a good winter set lunch menu which is more affordable....More

Amazing as long as you're willing to pay the price! You pay good money for good food, but book well in advance , it's always busy!

One of those great restaurants you will talk about forever. My personal favorite in London. Yes it's expensive, but not pretentious. It's warm and beautiful and the service is outstanding, the food better.

This is a top class establishment, without feeling in the least bit pretentious or intimidating (until you get the bill!) It was packed when we were there, and yet it did not feel crowded or noisy. I do love a round table! My sea bream...More

Easter Sunday was a squally day wth some hail and thunder. We decided to part cycle and part walk from Vauxhall, not least because of major engineering works and disruption on both the rail and tube services. In the main we avoided the worst of...More

Hello, it's not too far to be honest, if you are staying in the West End it will take you 15 minutes by taxi or Uber.

Menu changes daily so as others have suggested it's best to call ahead and find out. They are a tiny bit flexible but most Italian cuisine involves a lot of dairy products!
