Great food here at Moro. We were a little rushed as our table was for 6 but we had tickets for a show at 7:30. They were very accommodating allowing for us to choose from the tapas menu. It was delicious. The wine was great...More

There's nothing here I dislike. Conversely there is no "Wow" or "Lovely!" or "We must come again" factor. Service was OK, certainly not bad. Food was pretty yummy, wine was good. I just didn't feel partocularly welcomed or valued, attended to or advised by the...More

Was really looking forward to going to Moro - am a 'have the cookbook' type of diner. Came as a group of 7, with a baby. I ordered the one vegetarian option on the menu - mixed vegetable meze plate. It was rubbish. The presentation...More

The food is indeed sophisticated, alluring, on top of being tasty and healthy. The venue is light and spacious, finely decorated and absolutely pleasing to the eye. The portions though are small (I don't eat much) and will require you to order something on top...More

I have been wanting to come here for years and unlike many things anticipated eagerly I was not disappointed. Loved everything about it from the manzanilla aperitif to the lamb with lentils. Too full for dessert but hope to do better next time. Perhaps shouldn't...More

We were referred by foodies in Canada to try this place. Difficult to get reservations but perseverance was worth it. Our Spanish waiter suggested 2 other restaurants nearer our flat... which were even better yet pricier. Good wine list. 3 of the party of 4...More

This is really interesting food and a taste sensation. A larger, livelier place than I had somehow expected, but none the worse for that - good atmosphere and waiting staff who know their business and are well organised (a very slight gripe that our main...More

My sister bought us tickets for sadlers wells and recommended Moro for food. We booked for lunch and it was sooo good. Started with a manzanilla sour, followed by pork and my husband had brill. Yogurt cake and chocolate tart followed with a moscato to...More

We have been meaning to eat here for years but somehow never quite managed - until tonight. It was everything that one could have wished for. Excellent food, friendly service, attentive but not obsequious, great atmosphere (despite being an early sitting the volume was reaching...More

Nearby
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

Description
It might be one of the hippest venues in one of the hippest parts of the capital but this Clerkenwell restaurant still manages to be relaxed and more concerned with good food than being trendy. The restaurant’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar and open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven is functional but welcoming. The Moorish cuisine complete with subtle European influence is every bit as striking as it was when the restaurant opened its doors nearly ten years ago. Tapas served all day at the bar. Reservations taken by phone and directly from our website.PLEASE NOTE - Moro restaurant is now open seven days a week. Please refer to our website for correct opening hours
